“...Freefly is a state of mind. It opens doors inside you you didn't know you had. It is the ultimate in freedom - something you cannot experience doing anything else. It's the ultimate high for me...”
Ross Dagley-Cleworth

“...Freefly is my passion. Ever since I was a child I've always wanted to soar like a kestrel - flipping and turning, diving and soring. Freefly gives me this like nothing else can...”

Alan Gayton

Samurai Freefly have now coached over 30 hours in Airkix latest wind tunnel, Airkix Manchester! This makes us Airkix Manchester's most popular coach right now - no one in the world right now has more experience coaching in the Manchester tunnel than us, so use this experience to maximise your learning! This 14ft tunnel is fast and smooth, with a lot more "usable" space being round in design. Look out for  our full review coming soon! The cost of flying at Bodyflight Bedford has unfortunately now gone up significantly. As such, we will no longer be reselling tunnel time at Bodyflight or running training camps there. You can, naturally, get expert coaching from Samurai at Bodyflight Bedford if you have purchased your own time and want us to coach - our normal coaching rates apply.

The cost of one hour now stands at £690 for the tunnel time, plus any additional fees (high power) and coaching. Buying in bulk brings the price down, but even the old 10 hour rate of £510 now requires an investment of 19 hours to get - £9,690. The 10 hour rate is now £600 per hour.

The additional surcharge for high-power remains the same at £120 per hour.

This would bring the cost of learning head down at Bodyflight Bedford, inclusive of all charges and coaching to £960 per hour compared to £650 per hour at AirKix inclusive, £520 at Orlando inclusive or £510 at Freezone, all inclusive.

More information on the new Bodyflight Bedford price structure can be found here: http://www.bodyflight.co.uk/experienced/prices.html

Ross & Alan return from Skydive Lillo as USPA Certified Coach and USPA Certified AFF instructors after 10 days with Marcus Laser, USPA Course Director & Examiner.

Thanks to all who supported us - everything was against us, from the flights to the weather - we even had a military grounding on the DZ! We completed the course on the very last day we were there, having done all the ground prep and exams during the days of bad weather. Arrived at 08:30, four evaluation jumps later at 12:00 we were both certified AFF instructors!

Photos are available in the gallery!

September 3rd, 2008

Join our facebook group! Samurai Freefly have started a facebook group for all our students to share experiences on. We have updated our prices. Due to the high cost of tunnel time at Bodyflight Bedford (especially high power use), we have unfortunately had to raise our prices for time booked there.

However, we're pleased to announce that we have actually reduced the cost of time purchased at AirKix through us for sessions less than one hour. We will continue to be one of the most cost effective solutions for your coaching needs - providing time at £600 per hour, coached, briefed and debriefed and with a review DVD to take home afterwards.

Alan returns from his Russian coaching trip, having coached and signed off FOUR FF1's, and THREE FS1's! Not bad for two weeks!

Jumpers experience was varied but they all did amazingly well, and thanks to our unique coaching method, learnt rapidly. As an official BPA Coach, Alan was happy to sign off the students for their appropriate FF1 or FS1 qualifications.

Ross takes part in the UK head down skydiving record.

Ross is extremely proud to become a UK record holder after completing a 12-way formation head down over Weston-on-the-green on Sunday 13th July 2008. Photos and video can be found in our "photos/video" section (linked above).

The previous record was smashed repeatedly on the Sunday, with several complex formations being built by the team.

July 4th, 2008

Alan goes to Russia for two weeks to provide in-air coaching for students new and old alike.

Alan makes the Russia trip every year, and on average, completes approximately 80-100 jumps in his two week visit. Because Alan is an official FF2 coach, he is able to pass many students into the BPA FF system whilst there, allowing them to benefit from the cheap jump prices in Russia and then returning as fully fledged freeflyers once back on home turf!

Samurai Freefly would like to thank UK Skydiver for offering to generously sponsor us in our quest for success!
